Weekend Writing Warriors #84

Hi and welcome to this week's Eight sentences. Today I am continuing with eight from my new release, 'Fevered Kisses' an anthology of lust. This week I am continuing from last week and fifth story 'Some Time Away'.

                                  MY EIGHT:
Wake up? Somewhere, deep inside Melanie’s anxious brain something changed. Her mind began to fill with a clarity she hadn’t felt in a very long time. With one swift movement she turned the Mercedes down a small road to her right, gesturing with one finger her departure from the jam.
When Melanie reached the end of the road she headed back towards the town centre and the connections to the motorway. The traffic was much less troublesome in this direction and she was soon sliding the gear stick into fifth and settling back into her seat as she joined the motorway traffic heading north.
The air was now cooler as the car cruised at a higher speed, it felt refreshing against her face and she smiled. Where shall l go?
